The San Francisco Botanical Garden (formerly known as Strybing Arboretum) is a 55 acres span series of gardens and open air space located in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. It features unique, diverse and significant botanical collections of over 50,000 individual plants, representing over 8,000 typologies from around the globe and cloud forest species from Central America, South America and Southeast Asia.

The gardens are sub divided into several specialized collections including:

The Magnolia Collection featuring Magnolia campbellii Darjeeling, Magnolia dawsoniana, Magnolia campbellii 'Strybing White', Magnolia denudata, Magnolia campbellii 'Late Pink', Magnolia zenii, Magnolia amoena, Magnolia campbellii, Magnolia x soulangeana, Magnolia laevifolia and several others.

Redwood Grove and California Natives Collection featuring Polystichum munitum, Oxalis oregana, Rhododendron occidentale, California Poppy, Western Azalea, Matilija Poppy, Clarkia, Douglas Iris, California Wild Lilac, Flowering Currant and etc.

Specialty collections include Ancient Plant Garden, Succulent garden, Dwarf Conifer garden, Exhibition Garden, Garden of Fragrance, Zellerbach Garden of Perennials and others featuring a wide variety of plants.
